HISTORY:Amerect Inc. traces its beginnings to the N. H. Sandberg Erection Co. founded in 1945 by Nels H. Sandberg.  The Sandberg legacy is based on quality work at an affordable price with on-time performance.  The N. H. Sandberg Erection Co. was in the forefront of steel erection for 37 years performing service on such landmark projects as the Osborn Building, Northwest Bell Tower and Federal Courthouse in St. Paul; and the University of Minnesota Health Science Complex, Hennepin County General Hospital and Lutheran Brotherhood Building in Minneapolis. Amerect Inc. was founded in 1982 by Peter P. Taubenberger and Rodney M. Skogen as a successor corporation to N. H. Sandberg Erection Co. Peter and Rodney have since retired from Amerect Inc.

Mark Ziegler, formally Executive Vice President, became President and Owner of Amerect Inc in March of 2010.

Amerect Inc. has been a member of the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota since our founding in 1982.
